Provider of the GIMS™ Uniform, Linen and Laundry Systems, InvoTech Systems Inc. has signed a deal with Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls to provide it with their GIMS™ Uniform System equipped with UHF-RFID technology. The new uniform inventory tracking system is reported to provide a 24-hour automated uniform distribution service to over 3,500 staff and team members at the resort. The system is to be complete and 100% operational by September of this year.

By September staff are to have a clean uniform in their hands in a matter of one minute after entering their employee ID cards into the RFID reader. The main purpose of such a system and the Niagara Fallsview casino resort is to increase efficiency and lower costs all while establishing a clear routing of uniforms through the tracking system, said Andrei Kun, the Executive Director of resort operations. GIMS™ will communicate with an automated uniform delivery system from White Conveyers and in quick minute a new fresh and clean uniform will be in the hands of the employee in need of a clean uniform.

Simply put the Fallsview Casino resort at Niagara is not only saving labour money but it is also reducing operating costs leaving a lot more of the budget at the disposal of other demands at the casino. Jeff Welles, the Vice President of Invotech the RFID technology uses durable UHF-RFID tags that enable the management of any company to increase efficiency and decrease costs. More savings are the result due to the tracking system and its prevention of loss and theft.

Hand-counting and other related labour tasks are greatly eliminated because of the transformation from the older legacy systems to the UHF-RFID antennas that track information from greater distances. Now from a further distance the system will be able to scan, do inventory checks, and generate reports of entire carts of uniforms at one time.

The staff and executive team at Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls are looking forward to September when they will have the new RFID system in place and ready to use.
