(RFIDWorld.ca) A conference on NFC (near field communication) called the NFC Bootcamp is coming to the US, Australia and Canada in March and April of 2013.
The Toronto NFC Bootcamp will be on April 3rd and 4th and hosted by RFID Canada, Markham-based suppliers of RFID and NFC Inlays, Labels and Tags and Low Frequency (LF), High Frequency (HF) and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) RFID and NFC Readers.
NFC Bootcamp was originally designed to introduce companies exploring the world of NFC to the capabilities, uses, best practices, infrastructures and platforms to successfully market to the smartphone-savvy consumer. The following types of roles that would benefit from this bootcamp are: CEOs, CMOs, VPs, Directors and Managers of Marketing, Branding, Loyalty Programs, Payment and Credit Programs, Business Strategy, Customer Relations, Social Media Strategists, Public Relations, Online Community Managers, Business Development, Agency Account Managers and Entrepreneurs as well as Technical minded people who are responsible for designing, building and supporting NFC applications, both hardware and software, from the platform to the mobile device. The NFC Bootcamp is broken into 2 days where day 1 covers ‘How to Market With NFC’ and day covers ‘How to Build an NFC Campaign’. The packed 2 day conference consists of various NFC speakers, expert panels, knowledge camps, campaign camps and networking sessions. The speaker sessions include an overview of NFC, The NFC Eco-System Development, What’s in Your NFC Wallet?, and Moving NFC Beyond Payments. The knowledge camps include the following topics: NFC Technology Overview , Hardware, Firmware and Software and Program Creation – Design, Development, Deployment, Management.
