From 2011 to 2013 global RFID search demand has been constant and based on a Google search forecast it will stay constant for the remainder of 2013. The long-term decline in search demand is due to the strong decline in particular nations, mostly in Asia.

The terms ‘RFID chip” and “RFID reader” are the most searched keywords related to RFID globally and within Canada. Most of the top 10 most search RFID keywords are the same worldwide as in Canada, but 3 keywords specific to RFID commonly used in Canada are not shared globally. These 3 terms are ‘RFID Wallets’, ‘RFID blocking’ and ‘RFID credit cards’. This is clearly due to  high interest from Canadians  in privacy and strong demand in evolving technologies used for credit card and financial security.
