FEIG Electronics Expands RFID Operations in North America
This week FEIG Electronics, a global supplier of RFID readers and antennas, announced the expansion of its United States operations and relocation of the company’s North American headquarters, potentially building more demand to the Canadian market.
A pioneer in radio frequency identification (RFID) technology with more than 40 years of electronics experience, FEIG is one of just a few suppliers worldwide with the capability to offer RFID readers and antennas for all three standard operating frequency ranges: LF, HF and UHF. This enables the company to deliver unrivalled, custom solutions to serve a variety of specialized applications with its OBID® RFID product line.
FEIG’s OBID readers and antennas can be found in asset tracking and data collection applications for such diverse markets as supply chain management, healthcare, retail, libraries and payment systems. FEIG already has a strong presence in Canada with the help of its Markham-based distributor and preferred partner – RFID Canada.
“FEIG is expanding our presence in the U.S. to better serve key markets and emerging applications,” said Klaus Schoeke, national sales director, FEIG Electronics. “Our new, larger facility in the Atlanta area simplifies and solidifies the research and development efforts we are conducting in close collaboration with North American business partners.”
FEIG employs more than 200 employees worldwide in the development, manufacture and distribution of innovative, high-quality products that demonstrate 99.99 percent reliability. FEIG is committed to continuous process improvement to ensure the utmost quality for its customers.
