The RFID tagging of apparel is now the largest and fastest growing application of RFID in retailing, the retail supply chain and associated industries.   1. It is an excellent report. Tagging has been standardised for some time now and has numerous benefits over the old bar-coding systems. Readers have also improved and it is not uncommon to see them inside the loading bay doors of some of the leading fashion trading logistics warehouses where they are used for both security and to count items in and out without opening boxes.
